This training prepares participants for in-demand careers in fiber optics, with a focus on skills aligned to the needs of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its network partners. Students will gain hands-on experience with fiber splicing, installation, and troubleshooting—critical for supporting data centers and modern communication infrastructure.
Participants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. The role may require working in confined spaces or at heights, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Technicians should be comfortable with physically demanding tasks such as lifting equipment and navigating challenging environments.
A basic understanding of technical systems, operations, or information technology is helpful but not required.
