Construction 101 for High School Seniors

Construction 101 is designed specifically for high school seniors interested in exploring careers in the skilled trades. Over nine weeks, students will gain hands-on experience in core construction skills, with a focus on electrical and plumbing applications, while earning industry-recognized certifications to prepare for future employment or advanced training.

Training Includes:

  • NCCER Core Curriculum (72 hours) – Foundational construction knowledge, safety, tool use, construction math, communication, and employability, with hands-on activities related to electrical and plumbing.

  • OSHA Safety Certification – Completed online outside of class, providing essential workplace safety training.

Target Audience:
High school seniors seeking to build technical skills and credentials that can open doors to high-demand careers in construction and skilled trades.

Outcome:
Graduates will leave the program with nationally recognized certifications, practical trade experience, and a clear pathway to employment or continued training after high school.
