CDL Class B Mixer Truck Operator Training (Section 01)

Course Description:
This comprehensive CDL Class B training program prepares individuals to operate a concrete mixer truck safely and efficiently. The course runs approximately 4 to 6 weeks, depending on each student’s experience and readiness.

Students without a CDL permit will begin with guided instruction using the official CDL manual to prepare for and pass the written permit exam. Those entering the course with a permit will proceed directly to the required theory-based instruction.

The classroom and theory training covers essential topics such as:

• Vehicle inspection procedures
• Basic vehicle control and gear shifting
• Visual awareness and communication on the road
• Space management
• Air brake systems

Hands-on training includes:

• Pre-trip inspections
• Basic vehicle maneuvering
• On-road driving practice

All practical training and testing are conducted using a concrete mixer truck, ensuring students gain real-world experience with the equipment they’ll use on the job.
