AWS Information Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship (I2PA) – High School

The AWS Information Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship (I2PA) is a pilot program designed for high school seniors interested in careers that power the digital economy — from cloud computing and networking to fiber optics and electrical systems.

This hands-on course introduces students to the critical systems that build and maintain today’s connected world, with training in electrical, mechanical, safety, and operational concepts. Training is led by industry professionals and combines classroom instruction with real-world applications.

Students Will Learn:

  • Safety and essential workplace skills
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, and fiber-optic systems
  • Infrastructure operations and technical applications
  • Teamwork, professionalism, and jobsite readiness

Certifications Earned:

  • OSHA 10 Safety Certification
  • NCCER CORE Certification
  • AWS I2PA Certificate (unique to this program)

Who Should Apply:

  • High school students (A-Day or B-Day schedules available)
  • Seniors interested in construction, IT infrastructure, or skilled trades
  • Students ready for team-based, hands-on learning in a career-focused environment

Course Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work in teams
  • Must have a strong interest in construction, infrastructure, or skilled trades
