Introduction to Construction is a free, 5-week course designed for those interested in exploring careers in the skilled trades. The course is offered on A Days and B Days, making it easier for students to gain valuable career experience without missing academic responsibilities.

Through hands-on activities and industry-recognized certifications, this course helps students build a solid foundation in construction and prepares them for the workforce or further training after graduation.

Training Includes:

  • NCCER Core Curriculum (72 hours)
    Foundational construction knowledge including safety, hand and power tool use, construction math, communication, and employability skills — with hands-on training focused on multiple construction trades.
  • OSHA 10 Safety Certification
    Completed online outside of class, this certification provides essential workplace safety training recognized by employers nationwide.
